‘Sensation' was one of the first songs we wrote while jamming together with the guitarist in the cellar downstairs that we had elected as band rehearsal space. with my parents not-quite-so blessing. More like Squatted really. My father long-after-midnight's swearing is still notably on tape.
The arpeggio was there and the bass just followed on its own to keep us from freezing in the December cold of the place. It still reminds me of the more solemn moods of “Elizium" by the Fields Of The Nephilim in a way. At some point it was
incorporated as tail to a song called ‘Over This World’ that the singer had brought. We struggled a bit to actually write the music on a vocal line and because of that I quite never managed to make it into a proper bass line, so I just ended up on adding on the guitar riff thus making it different from what everyone might have been expecting from the likes of the “sisterian" countless listening.
